DIVERGENT SERIES: A MUST READ!!

If you are a fan of the Hunger Games series, then the Divergent series is a MUST read for you!  This series is set in a dystopian Chicago world, where the society is divided into five factions: Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent).  At the age of sixteen all citizens must choose a faction and pledge their allegiance for life.  Jam packed with action, adventure, intrigue, betrayal, and even a little romance, this series will keep you on the edge of your seat!!

6th Grade Lunch Book Club Begins!

This week, our 6th grade lunch book club will have its first meeting.  Students have already signed up and are very eager to begin listening to a great ghost story.  We will typically be meeting Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in room C130 during 6th grade lunch.  As a group we will read and discuss the book, The Hunt for the 7th, by Christine Morton-Shaw.  This book is one of the twenty books nominated for the Rebecca Caudill award this year, so thousands of students across the state will be reading it also!  A new component of book club this year will be our online discussion in Moodle.  Can't wait to get started!!
